Job Summary:
Sky Rider Equipment Co., Inc. is a contracting/ manufacturing firm that designs, fabricates and installs Mid-Rise and Hi-Rise Exterior Maintenance Equipment. We seek a qualified applicant for the Apprentice Service Technician position who has strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with customers. We would like someone who carries strong knowledge of all tools

Objective/Purpose of the Position:
The Apprentice Service Technician at Sky Rider supports the service department by assisting in performing inspections, repairs and troubleshoot electrical components on buildings.
 
 
 
Tasks/Responsibilities:
 
  • Assists in Inspecting buildings suspension devices (sockets, davits, pedestals & anchors)
  • Assists in Inspecting buildings suspension platforms, work cages, roof carriages & BMU’s
  • Assists in Inspecting and repairing winches, tirfors & traction hoist in Sky rider facility
  • Assists in repairing and troubleshooting on site Service calls, repairs etc.
  • Survey all equipment on buildings to Cal/OSHA section 3296 regulations
  • Keep an active clean driving record
  • On Call 24/7 for emergency rescues, etc.

    Abilities:
     
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Meet targets and work under pressure
  • A sense of drive for results
  • Ability to remain true to the company
  • Preferred to be familiar with Hoist mechanics for Tractel , Power Climber & Sky Climber hoist and similar
  • Strong knowledge of all tools and their correct use
  • Preferred to be familiar with basic mechanical experience

    Preferred Experience/Minimum Qualifications:
     
  • Cal/OSHA Certification
  • High School Diploma
  • One to two years of experience in similar industry
